The Journey Hospice Foundation supports families on service with Endless Journey Hospice LLC through three different veins of care:
Pediatric Support Services
Having a child receiving hospice care is emotionally draining on a family. The Journey Hospice Foundation uses funds to support 'extras' for Endless Journey Pediatric Care clients to help provide moments of levity and light. Whether it be a celebration of some sort or just an extra special treat, The Journey Hospice Foundation ensures each child on service is able to spend time enjoying moments and their family making memories.
Holistic modalities
Traditional western medicine does a lot to care for patients at end of life, but having additional methods of support for symptom management and comfort allows for patient choice and control. The Journey Hospice Foundation uses funds to cover the cost of aromatherapy and healing touch offered to Endless Journey LLC patients through a contracted provider.
Supplemental Meals
Caring for a loved one on hospice is an incredibly taxing role. Not only are family members emotionally preparing to say goodbye, but often times they are physically caring for a body that is no longer working the way it used to. Engaging in all that work hardly leaves time for the basics in life. The Journey Hospice Foundation uses funds to cover the cost of a meal supplementation program that provides Endless Journey LLC families with two meals a week. Determination for enrollment in the meal program is at the discretion of the Endless Journey LLC Social Work team and based on financial considerations, as well as caregiver burnout potential.
